WHO WE ARE

A quiet effort to uphold dignity, support families, and carry responsibility where it is often unseen.

The Janazah Project is a faith-driven initiative built on mercy, sincerity, and responsibility.

But beyond that, it is a response.

A response to something many people do not see.

Every day, there are families within our Ummah facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives, the passing of a loved one, while also struggling with the burden of funeral costs, logistics, and uncertainty.

In those moments, what should be met with dignity is often met with stress.

What should be carried collectively is often carried alone.

The Janazah Project exists to step into that space, quietly, respectfully, and with care.

Not as a service.
But as a responsibility we share.

Because no Muslim should be left without dignity in death.

In Islam, the janazah is not optional.

It is a collective obligation (fard kifayah) — a responsibility upon the community.

Yet today, many families:

  • Delay burials due to financial constraints

  • Struggle to arrange proper services

  • Carry emotional and financial weight at the same time

And many in the wider community are simply unaware.

The gap is not just financial.
It is a gap in awareness, structure, and collective action.

The Janazah Project exists to bridge that gap.

To ensure::

  • No believer is left without a proper burial

  • No family is left unsupported in grief

  • No opportunity for ongoing charity is lost

Our work is not driven by urgency or visibility.
It is guided by principles that shape every decision we make.

Every donation, every responsibility, every decision is handled with transparency and accountability.

We serve with gentleness and care — especially in moments of loss, where compassion matters most.

Our intention is not recognition, but acceptance — to serve solely for the sake of Allah.

We believe that even small acts, when done sincerely, carry lasting impact beyond what we can see.

We are one Ummah.
No one should face hardship — in life or death — alone.

These values are not statements.
They are standards we hold ourselves accountable to, every day.

Through The Janazah Project, we carry this responsibility forward in practical ways:

-Supporting janazah expenses for those in need

-Providing Sadaqah Jariyah opportunities such as water wells

-Delivering food support to families facing hardship

Each effort is connected by one purpose:
To turn moments of loss into acts of ongoing mercy.

Build a legacy that continues beyond your lifetime

Support a family in their most difficult moment

Honor someone you love through ongoing charity

This is not just charity.
It is a responsibility we carry together.
