The Janazah Project is a faith-driven initiative built on mercy, sincerity, and responsibility.
But beyond that, it is a response.
A response to something many people do not see.
Every day, there are families within our Ummah facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives, the passing of a loved one, while also struggling with the burden of funeral costs, logistics, and uncertainty.
In those moments, what should be met with dignity is often met with stress.
What should be carried collectively is often carried alone.
The Janazah Project exists to step into that space, quietly, respectfully, and with care.
Not as a service.
But as a responsibility we share.
Because no Muslim should be left without dignity in death.
In Islam, the janazah is not optional.
It is a collective obligation (fard kifayah) — a responsibility upon the community.
Yet today, many families:
Delay burials due to financial constraints
Struggle to arrange proper services
Carry emotional and financial weight at the same time
And many in the wider community are simply unaware.
The gap is not just financial.
It is a gap in awareness, structure, and collective action.
The Janazah Project exists to bridge that gap.
To ensure::
No believer is left without a proper burial
No family is left unsupported in grief
No opportunity for ongoing charity is lost
